Today in India the counrty where I live id observing a mega festival called MahaShivRatri. The word to word meaning is Grand Shiv (Shiva) Night. Shiv is the destroyer god in Hindu religion. This festival is being celebrated all over India.
It is believed that the life philosophy of Truth-God-Beauty (in Hindi Satyam-Shivam-Sundaram) of Lord Shiv is a force to welfare of humanity all over world.
The festival Mahashivratri spans over day and night. Celebration in the form of worship was performed from previous night and is continue now (day time).

The grand decoration and the Dressing up of Lord Shiva with beautiful clothes, headwear and jewellery adornments and specially the golden crown is real treat to eyes. This process is called Shringar.
